Teen Vogue Development

Developments explore layout composition and typography. Experimentation with typography focused on altering the scale to enhance or emphasise certain words which altered the type composition into different layouts. The bold typography creates a focal point to put the imagery in context. As the concept of the design is based on a hard topic to discuss bold typography gets the message across in the clearest way possible. The colour scheme should also link to the female perspective as this is an important element to the concept. The colour scheme also relates well to the imagery and the pop culture icon, Barbie. Barbie is used to visualise the concept in a milder way with consideration to Teen Vogue’s younger audience through the use of photography. Initial mock ups use research reference Oh Yes Oh No for the design’s imagery but the developments of this idea will use my own photography. The background will be untextured and fitting of the colour scheme to ensure the typography is as clear as possible. Feedback highlighted texture can manipulate the legibility.
